For products that require some elasticity (like certain bra bands or waistbands where drawstrings aren't used), we use a specially sourced, Cottonique-approved synthetic elastic that is certified Latex-free and Spandex-free. Importantly, this elastic is fully encased in our 100% organic cotton fabric, so only organic cotton touches your skin. We also ensure these elastics are free from common rubber accelerators like Thiurams and Carbamates. However, we always prioritize designs with drawstrings or natural shaping where possible.
